I watched an instructional video on a certain website before doing this with my girlfriend. The trick is to mix it quickly, which I think everyone fails to do. And I mean like 5 seconds. Literally just poured mix in, water has to be warm, and stirred for a few seconds or just enough to get all the mix wet. Then poured it quickly and gave it to her. Came out amazing only thing is user error. She had it sideways so it came out crooked, but still very cool! Tips: don’t mix it too long, doesn’t have to be clearly mixed just enough to get the powder wet. You’re not baking a cake! Warm the water in the microwave for 10 seconds. use a hard surface for sure as it can be messy from the over spill. Follow the tips and you’ll come out with the perfect mold!

Impressed. Followed the advice in one of the other reviews and used room temp water to mix with the clay so it didn’t dry super fast.

I really enjoyed doing this project for my partner but I had to do it twice. I watched a bunch of YouTube videos to make sure I did it right, read and reread the directions but still got my placement wrong the first time. Thankfully I got it on the second try! Make sure you go through every. single. step. before you actually start. Check the placement of the mold cup on yourself to make sure you're getting the full impression front to back (the first time I was too far forward). Create a comfortable space for you to do everything. I also recommend having a thermometer for the water because you do not want to get it too hot (reminder 90 degrees is less than body temp so it shouldn't feel hot to the touch). Also, do it over a hard floor or towel you don't care about - it's messy but clean up is easy because it solidifies. I would absolutely recommend this but just be really mindful about the process and you'll love the results!
